Health problems can also occur if you do not spay or neuter your cat. Females can develop uterine infections and breast cancer and males benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate gland) and testicular cancer.
Can lead to overpopulation of cats in the area, especially if your cat is an outdoor cat.
Many adoption places require you to sign a contract and prove that you have spayed or neutered your cat. A reason why some people do not spay or neuter there cats is because it is expensive. The cost ranges from $100 to $600. It often costs more to get your Female cat spayed because it is a harder process than neutering.
Most people get there pets spayed or neutered at six months, which is the youngest age they are allowed to be spayed or neutered.
