Cats and Snow: What do I do?

You wake up one day to your cat meowing and look out the window. It snowed! Then you remember you feline companion. You cat loves going outside, and is very depressed when locked indoors. But you don't know if you can let your cat outside in the snow! here is the answer to this question.

Yes, you can let your cat out in the snow. It will not hurt a cat, might make them a little chilly though. If you are very worried, then I suggest keeping your cat inside or buying your cat a nice sweater, especially if your cats has a very light coat. (Good Sweater option linked below!) If you do decide to let your cat out, make sure to dry them after them come inside, making sure to dry there paws as well (Snow, Ice and salt met can get stuck between there paw pads. Make sure to dry them very well because if your cat is wet for a long time, they could catch a cold. 

If you have a hairless cat, you must NOT let your cat outside when the temperature is below 60°F  (15°C). Hairless cats must have a sweater on when it gets lower than this temperature because they get cold extremely easily.
